Critics of the federally-funded wind-power boom at the beginning of the century’s second decade are saying “I told you so,” now that it’s being blamed for an expensive, ongoing transmission crisis in the Northeast Kingdom. The wind zealots built too much, too soon.
"The imbalance has caused the regional grid operator to reduce the output from the wind generators. It's also led to the de-valuing of local generation and a two-year moratorium on new renewable projects in the Kingdom."
