VT Senate introduces three new gun control bills - VT Digger

Proposed gun bills include a 48-hour waiting period, notification of police of “extreme risk” gun owners, and prohibition of carrying semi-auto firearms at public gatherings.

"It remains to be seen how much interest lawmakers will have in taking up policy proposals not directly related to Covid-19 and the related economic crisis. But Baruth, who has championed gun-control legislation since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, is at it again with three new bills — at least one of which appears likely to be approved by the upper chamber."

    Sandy hook gun was bought, owned, legally by the crazed youth’s mother,
    apparently well before the murders.
    A personal carry handgun is likely a semi-automatic, revolvers are too bulky for pocket or belt.
