VT law enforcement ready to meet with election protesters - VT Daily

Vermont Top Cop Michael Schirling says the Scott administration is ready to meet with any election protesters to lay out the ground rules for safe, legal, peaceful demonstrations.

“The governor deferred to Schirling, who said: “I’m not aware of any scheduled protests in our service area. But when they do crop up we actively engage with organizers to ensure that things go smoothly and safely and that everyone can exercise their rights without running into any risks.” "

Let me see if I understand this. In a state where 70-80% of the electorate are, um, let’s say “left of center”, and the vote in the presidential election will likely affirm this by overwhelmingly voting for Joe Biden, people are planning to protest the possibility that Trump might win in other states where the results may or may not be in question ? I think some people are just looking for reasons to “peacefully protest”. Maybe if they had real jobs they might not have the time or nervous energy to worry about the things that they can not change.
