Vermont minimum wage jumps Jan. 1 - but not to $15 - WCAX

Minimum wage workers in Vermont will get a raise to $10.96/hr., starting January 1.

"Vermont law requires that the minimum wage be calculated every year using the rate of inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index.

This year's increase is 1.7% over the 2019 figure.

The adjustment also affects “tipped employees.”

The minimum wage for tipped employees is half of the full minimum wage.
