The closed border is preventing Canadians from traveling south, but at least the State of Vermont is allowing 100% occupancy of campgrounds.
"Campgrounds across Vermont have taken a hit since the COVID-19 pandemic has forced many to press pause on taking reservations. "At this point, throughout May, we are down about 30%," said Bissonette. But despite the slow start, things are looking up. "Reservations are fairly strong," said Bissonette. Gov. Phil Scott eased restrictions on campgrounds, allowing them to book at 100% capacity."
