Top-rated college football player from Burlington shot in face - Sports Illustrated

Burlington remembers Haskell Garrett as a rambunctious boy whose father, Haskell Sr., passed away in April 2011. Now the Ohio State Buckeye is the top-rated defensive tackle in the Big Ten - or at least he was until he was shot in the face this weekend.

“Additionally, Garrett is the Big Ten’s highest-graded returning defensive tackle for the 2020 season according to Pro Football Focus College. Garrett was a top 75 recruit nationally coming out of Bishop Gorman High School."
