State opens coronavirus emergency operations center - Brattleboro Reformer

The emergency operations center in Waterbury is now the epicenter of the state response to the coronavirus.

"To support the ongoing work of the Vermont Department of Health and expand the capacity of the state to coordinate the COVID-19 response, Scott ordered Tuesday that additional state agencies and departments activate through the Vermont State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), according to a media release from the governor's office.
The SEOC will begin regular daily operations today at 7:30 a.m., and will house a multidisciplinary team of state agency and department representatives, according to the release.
The state's first presumptive case of COVID-19 involves an adult male patient, who presented to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center's emergency department on Thursday, March 5, with fever, cough and shortness of breath. He was admitted, isolated immediately in a negative pressure room, and tested for COVID-19. Early results from the Vermont Department of Health came back presumptive positive."
