The Solarwinds cyberattack that has likely been sucking secret information out of U.S. government computers also affected a State of Vermont server - which was immediately shut down by the state’s Agency of Digital Services.
“That’s at least the second Vermont impact of an international (probably Russian) cyberattack, coming on the heels of the disastrous, $63 million hack of UVM Medical Center computers that disrupted patient information and employee email for over a month. The State of Vermont took a server offline as a result of being among 18,000 computer users affected by a nationwide cyberattack, Chief Information Officer John Quinn said this morning."
