VT Dept. of Education cuts special ed school choice funding - Eagle Times

Schools receiving special ed students from other school districts will no longer be reimbursed for educational costs.

"......the state’s announcement in June that, for special education students attending out-of-district schools, the state will only reimburse districts for the tuition cost that covers special education services, such as therapeutic services, but not the “regular education” costs like general class instruction."

Well, that makes sense since we are going to spend $750,000 to reduce the number of children born in Vermont each year. That, in turn, will reduce the demand for special education. Actually, reduce the number of children entering the school system so we can lay off some teachers and close some schools. It’s a win-win for everyone, except the murdered children and who cares about them.
