South Burlington shoots down school budget increase, again - The Other Paper

By a 56-44 margin, South Burlington taxpayers said no to another school budget increase. School board says it will try to come back with another budget before June 30.

“The about $53.7 million proposal failed by a count of 2,924-1,613 votes. The school board will discuss next steps at a June 3 meeting, said Superintendent David Young. At that time, the board could consider locking in a voting date for a third proposal before the current fiscal year ends on June 30, he added."
