Second Vermont forest fire breaks out - WCAX

Last week, it was a forest fire in Killington. This weekend, Waterbury firefighters fought a blaze on Mt. Hunger. This fall’s extremely dry conditions have led to dangerous conditions in Vermont’s usually “asbestos” forests.

"In a Facebook post, they say they had to hike 1.6 miles through rugged terrain with water and tools. They say it’s unclear what caused the fire, but officials say it serves as a good reminder of the extremely dry conditions."
