Second graders rescue Baby Jesus - Manchester Journal

When an outdoor creche figure went missing, local second graders came to the rescue.

“The small doll-like figure that serves as the focus of the church’s Nativity scene was reported missing Dec. 14. Two days later, Baby Jesus is back in its spot thanks to a keen eye and a little detective work by second-graders in Amanda Penge’s class at Manchester Elementary Middle School. It’s not clear how Baby Jesus went missing, but Mary Beth Monahan, a reading specialist at MEMS, said one of her students, Omario Bromfield, spotted Baby Jesus in the water in a gully near the edge of the soccer field."
