Scott would replace Bernie with Dem-leaning independent – Seven Days

Republicans and conservatives need not apply - if Bernie Sanders is named to run the US Department of Labor, Gov. Phil Scott will appoint an independent, Dem-caucusing senator who will hit the ground running as and NOT run in the special election.

"State law dictates that the governor schedule a special election within six months of a vacancy and that the winner complete the former occupant's term. Sanders' current term ends in January 2025. The governor is also empowered to select an interim senator to fill the post until a special election is held"

    Let’s see, the Governor believes that he is obligated to replace a left leaning Independent who caucuses with Democrats with another left leaning Independent who caucuses with Democrats . Does he have to be balding with goofy white hair ? or can he have a pony tail ?
