Barre Police: Homeless man wrote about sexually abusing children on public bathroom walls – Times Argus

A homeless man with a previous conviction for possessing child pornography was in court this week for allegedly writing on a public bathroom wall about sexually abusing children.

"Edwin Forest Read, 26, pleaded not guilty Monday in Washington County criminal court in Barre to four misdemeanor counts of unlawful mischief and a misdemeanor count of failure to comply with the sex offender registry. If convicted, Read faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison. He was ordered held at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury pending release to a responsible adult."
