Sanders says killing Iranian general a “dangerous escalation” – Seven Days

Would-be President Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is criticizing Pres. Donald Trump for ordering the drone strike that killed an Iranian general in Baghdad, Iraq. His tweet contains no comment on how, if he were president, Bernie would have handled the situation.

"In a written statement issued hours after news of the strike broke, Sanders said, "Trump's dangerous escalation brings us closer to another disastrous war in the Middle East that could cost countless lives and trillions more dollars." The senator and presidential candidate added, "Trump promised to end endless wars, but this action puts us on the path to another one."

Sanders compared the move to the United States' 2002 invasion of Iraq, which he opposed at the time. "I feared it would lead to greater destabilization of the country and the region," Sanders said in the statement. "Today, 17 years later, that fear has unfortunately turned out to be true."

What would you expect from Beanie ? Would you expect him to endorse it as a "ugely needed step in preemptive action against terrorism "? Yea right, if POTUS says or does anything that piece of urban, socialist feces will contradict it.
