Kesha Ram, the former House member who this summer tweeted “there is no such thing as a good cop,” won one of six Democratic nominations to the Vermont Senate. Newcomer and distant relative/namesake of Vermont’s first governor Thomas Chittenden, finished fifth ahead of last-place winner incumbent Sen. Chris Pearson. Essex Rep. Dylan Giambatista finished ninth.
“In the state’s most hotly contested Senate race, Ram was second only behind incumbent Ginny Lyons in total votes earned. Lyons received 21,187 votes and Ram earned 20,171."
