Quarter-ton of hemp plants stolen from farm - Rutland Herald

Hemp may not be as valuable on the black market as THC-strong marijuana, but it’s still got resale value, as a Moretown farmer learned after 50 plants were cut with shears and stolen.

“The theft appears to have been premeditated and involve more than one individual, utilizing shearing tools and large vehicles,” the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets said in a statement."
