The predicted armed mob of angry Trump supporters failed to appear in Montpelier, and almost every other state capitol. But there were plenty of semi-auto-toting police and pancake-eating counter-protesters. 

"While there were some onlookers in attendance, media and law enforcement officials made up the majority of those assembled near the snow-covered Statehouse. Police were unaware of any credible threats targeting the area, according to a statement released Sunday afternoon."
