Middlebury College rated one of worst campuses for free speech – Burlington Free Press

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) says the 2017 assault on Charles Murray, the disinviting of a free-speech Polish diplomat, and the censoring of a demonstrating student has earned Vermont’s “little Ivy” college a list on 10 worst colleges for free speech. "Last April, campus administrators unilaterally canceled an event where Ryszard Legutko, a controversial Polish scholar and politician, was set to speak, citing “safety risks.”
"They denied a willing audience the opportunity to hear Legutko’s arguments and critics from challenging him, either through peaceful protest or pointed questions," FIRE wrote about Middlebury in their list.
"The unilateral cancelation of Legutko’s speech was one of the most troubling infringements on student and faculty free speech and open inquiry rights we saw last year."

I vaguely rember when Vermont was an Independent state Prouty and Aiken both strong voices for the people. Now a Socialist sewer with Liberal PROPOGANDA taught in all schools🇺🇸🇮🇱🇺🇸

The Liberal Socialist Lemmings need a re-education in the First Amendment. If you don’t agree with a speaker, don’t attend. It’s that simple. You have no authority or basis to stop other people from hearing a message.

It is sad to f\hear that colleges and universities that profess to value intellectual freedom are so opposed to it when it conflicts with whatever beliefs are currently in vogue among the herd.
