Memorial Day passes with defacement of veterans’ monument in mind - VT Digger

Someone scrawled PC graffiti in black spray paint on the Brattleboro veterans’ monument. While the act was condemned, the sentiment supposedly behind it was on people’s minds over Memorial Day. So - is tearing down statutes honoring Confederate war dead also “identity erasure” and “committing genocide?” How about taking down an historical mural in Burlington? Getting rid of Columbus Day?

"Residents woke earlier this month to see the since-removed words “POCs Lives Matter Too” — the abbreviation standing for people of color — spray-painted on a veterans’ monument on the town common. Many didn’t understand why anyone would deface such a marker. But local leaders soon received an email asking that they update the town’s Civil War record to account for black soldiers unrecognized by past generations. “Choosing silence of identity erasure,” the message concluded, “is committing genocide.”."

    What the hell is wrong with these people ? Is nothing sacred or out of bounds for the political motivated behavior of of the left ? I hope that whoever did this is caught and consequences are severe enough to deter another such incident.
