Two very strong thieves managed to load a 500 lb. press into their hatchback in broad daylight in Topsham.
“The press was a familiar fixture and had graced the porch seemingly forever though Dow said it had been there for about 20 years. Never for sale or free for the taking, the item was brought up from New York State by its owner and friend who left it for the Dows’ use. “It’s all cast iron and extremely heavy,” Glenn said. “My friend and I had to take it apart to unload it onto the porch.” Not ones to stray far, the octogenarians are usually found around the house—especially during a pandemic."
