Both the Vermont House and the Vermont Senate had the opportunity to help small businesses survive and even thrive in Vermont’s challenging business climate. Regrettably, they didn’t, Shawn Shouldice of the National Federation of Independent Businesses says. And she’s got the scorecard to prove it.
“The NFIB Voting Record is an important tool for small business owners who want to know where their lawmakers stood on the issues they consider important,” said Shawn Shouldice, NFIB Vermont’s State Director. “A legislator may say they support small business when out in the community, but when it comes to their actual votes in Montpelier that isn’t always the case."
