Another leader says VT should consider disarming cops - "Conflict of Interest" blog

Kevin Ellis, an influential, long-time Vermont State House lobbyist and board member of the Vermont Journalism Trust that oversees VT Digger, joins Burlington City Councilor Perri Freeman in saying Vermont should stopping the practice of police carrying weapons. Just put 'em in the trunk, he suggests in his August 28 "Conflict of Interest" blog post.

"So I ask – why should a police officer carry a gun in this town? The logical result is that the gun is used. And that never ends well."

Disarm cops ? What’s next ? Disarm criminals ? Good luck with that ! You’ll never get their guns, knives, bombs, baseball bats, that’s what makes criminals criminals. They don’t let things like lawful behavior get in their way. Snowflakes !

These idiots have a darker agenda – a poorly veiled backdoor attack on 2nd Amendment protected rights. Disarm cops (an insane proposal to begin with) then no one needs to be armed. Where do these lunatics come from? We should ban leftists from Vermont, the sooner the better.
