The State of Emergency is likely to continue past the latest July 15 date, because the State needs the power to control who can visit Vermont and who can’t, and to keep ‘safe’ limits on operations of businesses and other public spaces.
"But the governor said on Monday that Vermonters should expect him to extend it another month, until August 15. The state of emergency is what gives the governor power to issue guidelines for things like restricting occupancy in businesses or requiring quarantines.”
