The Von Trapps of “Sound of Music” fame became citizens six years after immigrating to Vermont.

"Unfortunately, 12-year-old Eleanora von Trapp was left at home in Stowe to cook for the family while other members attended the citizenship ceremony and dined at the home of a University of Vermont Medical College faculty member."
