Sec State Condos worries Trump administration will disenfranchise overseas U.S. military – VT Secretary State

Vermont Secretary of State James Condos wrote a letter to President Trump September 15 expressing his concern that a multi-nation postal agreement might not be ready in time for his office to send ballots for the 2020 presidential primary and general election. According to Condos, the administration could have withdrawn from the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on October 16. A few days later, the Trump administration struck a deal with the U.N.-led UPU, forestalling the electoral crisis. On September 25, the New York Times reported the UPU agreed to change the fee schedule that was greatly benefiting China at the expense of the U.S. and other nations.)

"With over 190 nations involved, it will be difficult to nearly impossible to reach bi-lateral agreements with each in time for the 2020 presidential primaries, and ultimately the November 2020 general election."
