The first woman U.S. attorney in Vermont has drawn rave reviews from all corners of Vermont law enforcement and politics. Will she be reappointed?

“Nolan, 41, a hard-line law-and-order prosecutor, is a native Vermonter. She was born at Fletcher Allen (UVM Medical Center), grew up in Burlington, graduated from the University of Vermont summa cum laude in political science and history and got her law degree — magna cum laude —at Boston College Law School because it had a great reputation and wasn’t too far away from home. She was appointed to her current job by President Donald Trump after being recommended by Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Governor Phil Scott. Her nomination was ratified unanimously by the US Senate.”
