Burlington property owners face 13% school tax increase - Fox 44

The state air quality regs got the Burlington School District into the problem of needing a new high school site. Now the Queen City’s school superintendent wants the state to help bail them out of a 13% tax hike.

"Not doing anything in Burlington (will mean) a 13% increase in Burlington, so that’s why it’s going to be important for us to look at our enrollment, to continue to seek funding from the governor’s office around the alternative sites for (Burlington High School),” superintendent Tom Flanagan told the School Board Finance Committee Thursday night."

    Thanks Burlington school board!

    Once we get through this high-school PCB distraction, maybe you can address the real problem – the blacks, Hispanics and Asians at the high school with failing literacy rates.

    Oops, sorry, didn’t mean to ruin the party between you and the feckless teachers union.
