Sure, it’ll take three more hours to drive the paper back to Burlington, but printing at a sister paper in Portsmouth, NH will mean that the Burlington Free Press gets to return to the larger “broadsheet” format we all grew up with.
"It’s not unusual for a newspaper to be printed outside the market where it circulates. It has become common for operations both small and large. This transition will also allow the Free Press to switch from its current, smaller format to a traditional broadsheet like most newspapers across the country."
