That terrible traffic jam on Pine Street near downtown Burlington could be a thing of the past, once a new connector highway is built.
"If built, the mayor said, the western spur would create a direct passage between Pine and Battery streets and ease chronic stop-and-go congestion (and air pollution) in blocks between King, Maple and Main. The project is at least five years from breaking ground, according to the Department of Public Works."
