Brattleboro will decide at Town Meeting Day whether to put the “legal” in local marijuana sales.
"As part of Act 164, towns have to vote to "opt in" to allow sales within their border, said Brattleboro Town Manager Peter Elwell. To do so, the Board must put the item on the ballot and allow the voters to decide. However, noted Elwell, Act 164 also states no town can prohibit activities related to the supply side of cannabis sales, such as growing, processing and distribution."
