Warren carjacking suspect freed without bail per law sponsored by Warren legislator - Headliners

Washington County's State's Attorney Rory Thibault published a statement last week saying he had to release without bail the man who allegedly store a car and terrorized its owner, a Warren woman. He was following a 2018 law sponsored by Warren legislator and House Judiciary Chair Maxine Grad. Could get awkward.....


"Thibault notes that “presently, often over the State’s objection, individuals accused of felony offenses, including violent crimes, are released with no bail or on conditions that allow them to remain in the community pending trial. These situations frequently cause concern among victims of crime….”

    He notes that citizens are concerned but there is no indication that he is. A loyal Party man, he makes no reference to the culprits behind this ridiculous law.
