AG Donovan wants federal law requiring background checks for ammo purchases – State House Headliners

Vermont Attorney General TJ Donovan has asked the U.S. Congress to enact mandatory background checks on purchasers of ammunition.

 

 

"In a Sept. 23 letter, Donovan and 21 other state attorneys general asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and several other leaders and committee chairs to enact the so-called “Jaime’s Law,” which would “require background checks for ammunition purchases, building on current federal requirements for background checks on firearms purchases.”

    More intrusion, inconvenience, and cost added at the point of sale. If they can’t constitutionally take firearms away, they can darn sure make owning one costly and oppressively encumbering. Of course criminals will still be able to get whatever they want without all the red tape.

    He just another liberal hack, why isn’t his office working on Drugs, people Driving under the influence ( Alcohol, Drugs ) including POT something he feels is OK or how about just stopping all those who are driving and texting………. come on, I see ten a day !!! and this hack thinks ammo
    a problem.
