One person died in Vermont of Covid-19 during the 24-hour-period ending noon Thursday, according to the Vermont Dept. of Health website. One Covid-19 patient is hospitalized. The total number of diagnosed Vermont cases is now 1,445. Just over 100,000 people have been tested.
"53 of the 58 fatalities were 60 years or older. 45 were 70 or older. 39 died in Chittenden County, seven in Franklin County, and three in Windham County. Washington and Windsor County have two fatalities; Rutland, Bennington, Lamoille, one; and to date no-one has died in Orange, Grand Isle, or the Northeast Kingdom counties of Caledonia, Essex and Orleans. The Vermont Department of Health on Thursday reported nine new cases of COVID-19 in Vermont over the past day, bringing the cumulative total to 1,445. There were five new cases in Rutland County, and one each in Bennington, Windsor, Washington and Lamoille counties."
