“In a statement, Holcombe expressed her thanks for the support at this early stage in the race, and said, “I have spent a lot of time hearing from people in different communities around the state about both their concerns and hopes. I am grateful to this first group of supporters, who come from different communities and who are experts on different issues. Tim Briglin, Representative from Windsor county, offered his words of support: “As an educator, as a mom, as a leader, Rebecca offers the strong executive experience and thoughtful solutions Vermont needs. She’s about getting things done.” “Vermont needs to start reducing its emissions and taking climate seriously. Rebecca speaks with passion and commitment on this issue. She’s the governor that Vermont needs in 2020,” said Mary Sullivan, Representative from Chittenden county.”
