After first big snowfall, drive carefully to the polls - Rutland Herald

State police recorded 46 accidents Monday evening. Drive carefully, everyone - but don’t let it stop you from getting to the polls.

"Lahiff said the Monday snow brought about one to three inches; this morning he said he’s expecting about the same in the Rutland area, with the possibility of some snow-covered roads. The bulk of the snow in the area is expected in places that are at an elevation of 1,500 feet or higher. In Washington County, Lahiff said he expects about three inches in the southern part and closer to five inches in the north. Going even farther north into Lamoille County, snowfall might fall into the four- to six-inch range."
